We can mostly agree today that the feudal system almost always ends up exploiting the lower classes to the benefit of the upper classes, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun to see what it might have been like in the form of a video game! If you love everything to do with the Middle Ages, then you’re going to have fun with Stronghold 2. This simulation game puts you right in the era of the feudal system, where you are the lord of the land, living in your castle, and the people are obligated to be your subjects and work for the mutual benefit of the manor.
In Stronghold 2, you will have to make sure your people have enough work and food, or else you will find yourself battling a revolt. Form your own army and build farms, mills and everything you need to feed your people and meet the demands of the city.
Also, remember that Stronghold 2 is set in an age that was very volatile, where land was taken by force and feudal lords often went to war against each other. So it’s important to make sure your army is strong and professional enough to win those battles if you want to keep what is rightly yours.
